The Sicilian dessert par excellence, as well as one of the best known abroad, can also be easily made in a gluten-free version. A wafer of fried dough, stuffed with sheep's milk ricotta and finally enriched with candied fruit, pistachio grains or chocolate chips. In this version, the gluten-free cannoli are filled with the typical sheep's milk ricotta and candied cherries.
